Denny Lubecke is a representational artist residing in Prospect Heights, IL. He specializes in oil landscapes and cityscapes. Denny studied at the Palette & Chisel Academy of Fine Arts in Chicago, IL and has taken numerous workshops. His work has appeared in American Artist magazine, Women’s Day, Better Homes and Gardens and the Daily Herald. His instructors and influences include Scott Tallman Powers, Richard Schmid and Diane Rath. Denny is a founding member of the Plein Air Painters of Chicago. He has exhibited in many shows, including shows at the Palette & Chisel Academy of Fine Arts in Chicago, the Woodstock, IL Opera House and the Elk Grove Village, IL Art Centre.
Prior to pursuing oil painting, Denny had a successful career as a painting contractor including decorative painting, producing faux finishes and murals. He has also produced many stage designs and taught faux finishing for stage design for the Willow Creek Association.
